We met the modern-day way… at our apartment dog park. Our dogs were the real matchmakers, becoming instant best friends and giving us plenty of excuses to keep running into each other.

Jim noticed Sydney right away. According to him, she gave off a bit of a “tough girl” vibe, slightly intimidating, definitely not easy to read. Naturally, that only made him more intrigued. He was convinced it was just a front… and made it his personal mission to crack her.

What he didn’t know? Sydney was just as curious. It’s hard not to notice someone who seems to be driving a different car every day, one day a Chevy Impala, the next a BMW, and somehow… a Cybertruck (if you know, you know). Between that and the casual drive-bys (and yes, the occasional whistling from below her balcony), she started to wonder what his deal was.
+
That same week, fate stepped in again. Sydney was at a holiday cookie decorating event at Wine Girl, literally telling her friends about “this guy from the dog park” she had just met—when Jim walked in. Cookie in hand, he made a beeline over and, naturally, turned it into a competition with her. Because of course he did.

One thing led to another and dog park chats turned into real plans, and before long, the two of them were finding any excuse to spend time together.
+
Between perfectly timed run-ins, a little persistence, and a lot of intrigue on both sides, what started as a casual meeting turned into something neither of them expected.
+
And yes… Jim was right, he did crack her.

Most importantly, the original matchmakers are still best friends, and very excited to officially become brothers. 🐾
